WordPress 2.7
As a part of the services that we provide we offer installations of WordPress if you either have no time to do this yourself, or if you simply don’t know how to. Blogs are very effective when you need to stay in touch with your customers, and most search engines love them. Which means that a blog will give you a lot more exposure than a regular static web site.
Like everything else on-line, WordPress keep evolving and changing for each upgrade, and the latest version that are still in developing mode should be available in a more stable version later in December.
Because the changes in WordPress 2.7 are greater than they have been earlier, there are web hosts out there that simply cannot keep up with the development. And because of this we decided to check if the server where we provide blog hosting would meet the requirements.
And I’m happy to say that everything works perfectly.
This blog is using the current development version and there’s been no issues that are connected to the server. There are still some minor bugs in the software itself, but those should be gone when the final stable version is released.
When the stable version is available, that will also be a part of the software package that is included in our hosting packages. This means that you will be able to install WordPress 2.7 straight from your hosting account if you prefer to do it yourself.
As soon as this happens, we will post more in detail what is new and what changed. It is also likely that there will be a test blog set up for you as a customer to try out before buying, so to speak.
So keep an eye on this space. There’s only a few days left until the final release will be reality.
