The Release – new pose
The remake of the hair became a remake of the entire character last night. Or at least half of her pose. Sometimes you stay around for too long and keep making too many changes, and in the end nothing works. And that’s what happened with the hair and the way she was leaning her head on her arm.
I’m also dressing her a bit. Right now I’m painting both the hair and her clothes at the same time, mainly for the sake of getting the highlights and the shadows correct on both. In the end her hair might just change slightly, but the base will be what it is now. It needs more loose hairs all around and the left side that is in the shadow needs a bit more work too.
Same goes for her lips. The neck line on her dress will be a bit darker, both sleeves need more work and well…it’s not done just yet, lets put it that way. But what took much longer to paint the first time I did in only a few hours last night mainly because I already painted it once and knew what it would look like. What I spent most time on was her face since only a part of that was visible in the pose she had earlier.
I will continue this tomorrow again and begin painting the stone she’s leaning on.
